In the last few years, Greek archaeologists have brought to light very interesting buildings and monuments of Roman Nikopolis, near Preveza in Epirus, Greece. The most amazing find is the nicely decorated monument that was erected by Octavian Augustus after his victory in Actium.
Works in the area of ancient Marathon in Attica brought to light a Proto-Helladic building (c.2000 BCE) that was most probably used as a shrine.
